And now here’s another wish granted: treat your flatfoot pain with these at home remedies. You could even do these exercises between your purchases!
Stretching the back of your leg can keep you from overpronating, which may be causing some of your pain. Step forward with your left leg, keeping your right leg straight behind you. You should feel a stretch in the back of your right leg. Hold for 15 to 20 seconds and repeat on the other leg. Do this for two to four reps around three to four times a day.
Exercising and stretching your arch can be another way to ease flatfoot pain. Try laying a towel on the ground in front of you. Align the ball of your foot at the edge of the towel that’s closest to you. Then, grab the towel with your toes and scrunch it underneath your feet until you run out of towel. Do three sets of this exercise daily.
To stretch the arch, grab your toes and pull them towards you. Then, roll your arch over a tennis ball or a can of soup to get a good stretch and a massage. This can really reduce some soreness, and you can do it from the comfort of your computer chair!
