Welcome, Dr. Betesh!

At Sierra Foot & Ankle, we are a family – and our family has grown! Sean Betesh, DPM is our newest family member, and we are excited to welcome him to the practice. Bringing another caring, board-qualified foot and ankle surgeon onto our team allows us to provide treatment for even more community members who are suffering from lower limb medical issues.

Even better, the excitement goes both ways as Dr. Betesh has been looking forward to working with us in serving the greater Carson City area!

Dr. Betesh is originally from Connecticut and earned his bachelor of science degree in Human Physiology from Boston University. Following his undergrad studies, Dr. Betesh proceeded to earn his doctorate in Podiatric Medicine and Surgery from Des Moines University before completing a comprehensive three-year surgical residency at Yale New Haven Medical Center (where he served as chief resident during his final year).

His extensive education and training has given Dr. Betesh exposure to a wide range of foot and ankle conditions and injuries. From ingrown toenails to complex foot and ankle deformities, he has experience in using both conservative and surgical treatments to resolve lower extremity problems. Dr. Betesh takes pride in staying up-to-date with the latest in medical education and innovation, and looks forward to helping your feet feel younger again.

For those of you who lead active lifestyles—as many of our local community members do—you will find comfort in knowing that Dr. Betesh grew up as a multi-sport athlete and remains active to this day. Doing so has given him firsthand experience and knowledge in the various ways that inappropriate footwear (including shoes and cleats) and overactivity contribute to foot and ankle injuries.

As a result of his athletic background, Dr. Betesh is better able to see and understand foot and ankle concerns from both patient and doctor perspectives. He knows how difficult it can be to struggle with lower limb issues that keep you from your favorite activities. This empathy guides him as Dr. Betesh develops individualized, effective treatment plans for you.

When not helping patients overcome foot and ankle pain, Dr. Betesh enjoys long-distance running, hiking, golfing, and skiing (both downhill and cross-country). Other interests include various do-it-yourself projects, taking on new endeavors, and traveling (Dr. Betesh especially enjoys trying new cuisine!). He and his girlfriend look forward to becoming involved with local events and appreciating the quality of life northern Nevada offers.

To learn more about Dr. Betesh—or request your appointment with either our Carson City or Gardnerville offices—simply give us a call at (775) 783-8037 and one of our Sierra Foot & Ankle family members will be glad to help!
